1. Start from the organising group
Open Admin → your group → Add event. Confirm the organising group, then select the actual course from the directory. Give the event a useful name.
2. Choose the response method
RoundUp tee times: offer only tee times made available by the club or organiser. Attendance: collect an RSVP. Information only: show a notice without booking or sign-in. External booking: send players to the provider that manages entry.
3. Use normal club booking when appropriate
Select ‘Use Golf NZ / DotGolf booking’ when creating the event, or choose Golf NZ in the external booking-service selector. Players get the golf.co.nz button and official app-store links. Automatic opening inside the app is not guaranteed.
4. Set the dates and programme
Enter the date, start time and any confirmed end time. For repeating sessions, review the series before saving. Seasonal times and dated exceptions need to be checked individually.
5. Set entry, fees and public visibility
Choose eligibility separately from calendar visibility. Describe whether the competition fee is paid at the counter or elsewhere. RoundUp does not collect a counter fee just because it is displayed.
6. Set course access and priority
Choose open, limited, unavailable or unconfirmed course access. Limited/unavailable notices require a start and end time. An authorised course organiser can select Special event to take priority on that date.
7. Review and publish
Check the title, venue, times, restrictions and booking link. Keep an unfinished event as a draft; publish when the details are confirmed.
8. Manage the occurrence
Open the event in Admin and review its details or relevant registration tabs. Add a schedule-change notice for a dated exception. Existing response formats are fixed to protect bookings; an external booking provider can still be changed on an external event.
Saturday Club Day and the haggle are one event. Put that week’s Stableford, Net or other format in the existing Club Day entry rather than adding a duplicate.
