RoundUp Golf
Fictional example · A possible journeyA busy life should not mean missing every competition.
John enjoys golf, but work and family come first. He plays when he can — and too often hears about a competition after entries have closed.
His golf happens in the gaps
John manages an occasional round between other commitments. He is not always at the clubhouse, and he does not reliably catch every notice or conversation about what is coming up.
After playing, he heads home. Later, he spots a club competition he would have enjoyed, only to learn that the entry deadline has passed.
The interest was there; the timing was not
“I would have entered if I’d seen it earlier.”
John does not need another commitment every week. He needs an easy way to look ahead and choose the opportunities that fit his life.
With RoundUp, he can browse when he has a moment
At home, John opens the club page and looks through its published calendar. Instead of relying on being at the club at the right moment, he can see upcoming competitions and decide which dates might work.
He opens an event to check the venue, format, eligibility, fee, entry instructions and any published closing date. If a deadline or detail is missing, he contacts the organiser rather than assuming entry stays open.
He takes the right next step while he is interested
If the event accepts RoundUp registration or attendance, John follows that process. If entry is through Golf NZ / DotGolf or another provider, he uses the event’s link. If it is an information-only listing, he follows the organiser’s contact or entry instructions.
Where he needs to join a group or get approval first, he allows time for that step. An RSVP or expression of interest is not automatically a competition entry unless the organiser explicitly uses it that way.
A possibility becomes a plan
John checks that his entry or booking is confirmed in the system where he made it. He can find RoundUp bookings and attendance in My Days; external entries remain with their provider.
“That one fits. I’ll enter now, while I’m looking at it.”
He still chooses when to play. A clearer view of what is coming up gives him more chances to make that choice before the opportunity passes.
Seeing an event, joining a group or showing interest does not reserve a place by itself. Entry depends on the organiser’s rules, available places and closing time. This story does not promise automatic reminders or entry into every competition.
